Suchi Gaur (Ph.D.)
Senior Director of Strategy and Operations (India and The Netherlands)
Suchi (she/her) is a dynamic feminist leader, strategist and advocate for gender justice, youth leadership and social impact. She carries over 15 years of experience working at the confluence of gender, policy and communications technology in the non-profit, startup, parliamentary and research sectors. As the Senior Director of Strategy and Operations at World YWCA, she drives the organization’s global vision, ensuring transformative programs and advocacy efforts that center young women and girls across more than 100 countries.
With a Ph.D. in Communication and over 15 years of experience in gender, policy, and movement-building, Suchi is a thought leader in decolonial feminist frameworks, intergenerational leadership, and intersectional justice. She has led groundbreaking initiatives on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), gender-based violence (GBV), peace and security, and feminist leadership—working at grassroots, national, and global levels to influence policies and programs.
Suchi has been instrumental in bringing to life World YWCA’s Signature Tools- RiseUp! Leadership and Advocacy Guide, Safe Spaces Guide, Storytelling for Activism Guide and the Feminist Consultation Methodology, through a feminist, human centered design process, led by women and young women.
A strong advocate for ethical storytelling and hope-based communications, Suchi is committed to amplifying diverse lived realities and fostering inclusive leadership. She has spoken on global platforms, authored research on feminist movements, and continues to mentor young leaders in reimagining a more just and equitable world. She has been recognised by NGOCSW as one of the 50 Gender Advisors and Champions around the world.
